User Manager allows the Administrator to manage security on your copy of Foxfire! Each user is assigned a user name, password and optionally, a department. Each user is also assigned an access mode of Administrator, Designer or Runtime.

Login Info

User Id: Specifies the User ID.

Password: Specifies the User’s password.

Dept: Specifies the user department (optional).

Use as ODBC Login: Specifies whether this User ID and password should be used for the ODBC Login. This is an alternative to specifying the ODBC Login information in the Remote Data Source Preferences.

Access Mode: Specifies the type of access this user has to Foxfire! Choices are

  • Administrator – User will have Administrator privileges. They will have full access to all Foxfire! features.
  • Designer – User will have Designer privileges. They will have the ability to design and modify requests. Their privileges can be further restricted through the use of Report Set Permissions and user Permissions.
  • Runtime – User will have Runtime only permissions. They will have the ability to run Requests, Import and Export and create and run batches. Their privileges can be further restricted through the use of Report Set Permissions and user Permissions.

Output Directory

Override Report Set permissions: Specifies if you want to override the file path for User Output.

Use Output File Path: Specifies the file path for Output files. This will default to the path set in the Report Set Editor.

Notes: Enter any notes you have (optional).

Advanced Options

Permissions: Open the User Permissions screen to override the Report Set Permissions.

Printer Setup: Open the Printer Setup screen to override the Report Set Printer Setup.

Miscellaneous: Open the Miscellaneous options screen to set various Request Manager options and turn Query Logging on or off.
